Couple Of Things

Thing 1

Is anyone having trouble posting comments on my blog? If you are, then I may have fixed it, I don't know, we'll just have to try and see, okay? If you're filtering out 3rd party cookies, this may be why you can't post a comment, but if you use "anonymous" as your comment, it will let you post, but unless you give me some indication as to who you are, (username, whatever). I won't know.

So I apologize if you haven't been able to comment, but let's see if it's been fixed and try it out, please? Thanks!

Thing 2

A couple of days ago, Dondra and I were talking about something innocuous, when she suddenly stopped and said, "We forgot our re-marriage anniversary, Bill!"

Well, I didn't know whether to laugh or put on a sad face until she began laughing, and it reminded me of what I told her on one of our previously-married anniversaries....

I love you so much, I will never pull away from your cold feet!'

When I told her that, there was a cute little song by Michael Franks called "Popsicle Toes", and it became Bill and Dondra's unofficial song:

Okay, the other part of that promise will take some 'splainin'.

I have never minded eating the ass-end of a loaf of bread, because that is where the "filet" of the bread is as far as I'm concerned. But since my Dad brought us to the USA and I got to know peanut butter, I have developed my very own PB recipe. Here's what you do:

Make sure you get the ass end of one end of the bread an stick it and the next piece in the toaster.

Now if you wanna be a pig, you can reach down the sack and get the second
ass end, but I don't recommend it, because that hand will render that whole loaf useless, coming out. Trust me, I know this for a fact, okay?

Oh! Forgot something. That ass-end is usually smaller so you'll have to turn it just right, so that when it pops out of the toaster, you can grab it. DO NOT go after it with a knife or a fork, or you and I will be taking harp lessons. If you can't grab it, unplug the toaster and THEN get it, but just know you've effed up the best PB sammich ever, because that piece of bread will be too cold to do what?

MELT THE PEANUT BUTTER on the bread!!!!

No kidding, y'all. A warm peanut butter on toast sammich, a cup of hot chocolate and Captain Kangaroo on the tv? It doesn't get any better than that in the cooling Autumn and Winter-Time.

Hope y'all have a great Autumn weekend.

D and I are hosting a small "Oktober Fest" party on Sunday, and we'll be sure to post pictures.

Did somebody say, "Peanut Butter????

Please don't forget the little ones who depend so much on us and our kindness.....

Okay?

Thanks!

Oooo. I LOVE warm peanut butter on toast. That is the closest thing to Heaven I can imagine. Oh, and I also love the ass-end of the bread loaf. The extra crust is what makes it good!

Hey Ann! Just had one of both. We slept in today and D fixed hot choco-lat and PB on toast on this chilly Georgia morning!
