My friend and dementia counsellor Suzette recently wrote a very informative (and flattering) article about the "German Boy" and his upcoming bike ride, and you may see it by clicking the title of this entry. I am very appreciative of her and the GA chapter of the Alzheimer's Association for supporting me, and my ride is dedicated to them, Alzheimer patients and their caregivers as well as the four-footers. First off, I want to say how sorry I am that your Dear Betty lost the fight for her life.
None of us know the depth of loss or grief that each individual suffers, of how our world, in fact, has been completely taken off it's axis. We take time to breath, to grieve and slowly move on with the wonderful memories.
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
I think that's all I will say for now.
Deepest heartfelt sorrow for you, Dondra and your family.
Becks
Sending blessings to you and your family.
In peace.
In the next day or so, I want to show and tell y'all about something very wonderful which happened today.
In this time of grief we grab on to anything we can get, and from what I am told, and what you will see, is going to make you smile.
Stay tuned.
