Thailand, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia?

Unbelievable how many people from foreign lands are visiting the blog!

Very heartwarming as well, as I think many of them are my friends from The Straight Dope - a website/internet "bulletin board" I highly recommend for scintillating (is that correct or should it be "titillating"?) conversation and answers to any questions you may have about anything at all.

Even the Dept of Veterans Affairs is checking in!
So. We're in the new year, the holidays are (thankfully) behind us and now I'm in what I like to call "the doldrums". I didn't know that was a nautical/geographical term: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doldrums. I do know about "the horse latitudes", however. (Only after hearing Jim Morrison of The Doors sing about them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_latitudes). Apparently the name comes from an old seaman term "beating one's head against a dead horse" (or something like that).

So, I am very happy to have my Lamiktal and Welbutrin to help keep Bill a "happy boy"! Just gotta REMEMBER to take them!!!!!

New symptoms: Can't make change for a dollar worth a shit anymore. Giving cashiers too much money for a purchased item and I'm catching myself not counting change whenever I pay for something.

Splitting headaches. (I used to never get a headache, now it seems like 2-3 times a week).

So enough about me! How are y'all doing?

I know some of you got blizzarded pretty hard recently, right?

We had snow for Christmas this year for the first time since the 1800's, I think.

D and I took our friend (and C2C R2C teammate), Marty out to eat for Christmas and presented him with a plaque in appreciation of his very valuable contribution to our bicycle ride for the animals. He was tickled to get it. He also helped me celebrate my New Year's Eve birthday at Texas Roadhouse. Fun times.

And even though they said "No! Spend that money on the animals, Bill", BillDL and Becks were each sent one as well. I don't listen so well sometimes, apparently! :)

Got a couple of doctor's visits coming up and then my SSDI hearing on 2.2.11.

That's it for now. Stay warm, check in here every now and then and don't forget to click and feed the 4-footers!

The Animal Rescue Site

And here's a little something to maybe help your "doldrums"!

Thanks!

Bill

That Mnozil Brass are wonderful, Bill! One of the best covers of "Bohemian Rhapsody" I've seen. Thanks for putting them up for us.
