For "The 24", For The "Bike Journalists", And For The Pet Lovers

Every now and then, I like to just tell people how much they mean to me, and maybe just for that one time not carry any kind of a "heavy message".

This would qualify as one of those times.

Just a silly song sent to me by one of my cycling friends on www.bikejournal.com, and meant to thank you, Dear Reader, for following the blog - whether or not you do so on a regular basis.

This is also an opportunity for you to make suggestions as to how I can improve the blog.

I want to hear from you! If 24 of you care enough to follow me, then I have to think there are at least twice that many more who do not post, and with an average of 100 hits a day - well, that's just " FAARRRRRR Out!" - John Denver.

Have some fun with this one, and notice the one bike with the "wobbly wheel"!




Please remember the shelter pets! Wednesdays are not good days at my animal shelter. We try to save as many as possible, but we cannot save them all.

Hi Bill,

Just checking in with you because, as one of your followers, you asked me to :-)

I am new to blogging and have very similar random thoughts about it all.

For example - just where does my message go when I press that publish button? Exactly who is reading it?
I guess it will have to remain one of the mysteries of life.

I find it therapeutic to get some of my random thoughts out into the universe so I guess that I will have to settle for that. :-)

I enjoy reading what you write - thanks for sharing your personal thoughts with us/me.

President Biden Plans To End Covid Emergency On May 11th

 Is that a sigh of relief that just washed over me from wherever you are? 😃 Great! I'm glad that makes you happy. I don't want to rain on your parade, but even though we're getting out of the pandemic status, people are still dying, and the virus continues to mutate. 🙄 I know - "Party-Pooper", right? Its latest variant is "Arcturus" and it causes pink eye.  So if you get itchy eyes, you should probably take a Covid test. It probably came from India, and it's here with us, now, in at least 10 states Here  are the latest Covid figures for the US, if anyone is interested. We live in Carroll County, Georgia and the latest figures per capita show less than 10 deaths from  January 1st, 2023 through last Monday, April 17th, 2023. That doesn't even cause a "blip" on the Covid 'Radar" here, but folks are still "trickling in" to get their vaccinations and Dondra and I have our boosters and are up-to-date. So what will you do
